NWOP turns parking lot into free Wi-Fi hotspot for community

We all want to be connected, and internet access is more crucial now than ever. Staying home amid coronavirus concerns might be a tough task — especially if you have unreliable internet service or no internet connection at all. That’s why North Western Electric Cooperative (NWEC) and NW Ohio Propane (NWOP) teamed up with MetaLINK Technologies to turn our local parking lot into a free Wi-Fi hotspot to assist those in need of internet.

*NWOP's customer office is located in the same building as North Western Electric Cooperative.

Parents, students, and anyone in need of internet is invited to park in the office front lot and connect to the free, public network called “MetaLINK Hotspot” for a high-speed internet connection 24/7. The connection will be strongest on the east side of the parking lot (next to the hill area across from the office's front doors).

NWOP simply asks those using the Wi-Fi to stay in their vehicles. Don’t leave kids unattended in cars, especially as temperatures warm up.

NWOP and NWEC are located at the following address:

04125 State Route 576

Bryan, OH 43506

For more information, call NWOP's office at 1-844-636-NWOP (6967).

Is our customer office too far from your house? A list of other local community hotspots can be found on MetaLINK's website here.
