COVID-19 UPDATE FROM CEO DARIN THORP - 4/17/20

We are all experiencing unprecedented times as we deal with the COVID-19 pandemic. I want to assure all members and customers that your cooperative, propane company, and all our employees are committed to providing you with the highest level of service possible during this challenging time.
I have been on regular conference calls with our generation cooperative, Buckeye Power (link is external). Ohio electric cooperatives have the benefit of a strong, stable power supply. Although our generation plant, Cardinal Generating Station (link is external) in Brilliant, Ohio, is experiencing the same difficulties as all businesses during this pandemic, Buckeye Power is committed to the Ohio cooperatives and will continue to supply stable electricity to cooperative members.
I can’t say enough about our North Western Electric Cooperative and NW Ohio Propane employees. Amid this pandemic, our employees continue to contribute to our organizations and serve our members and customers. We have had to change and rearrange work schedules, plus employees are doing jobs and tasks they’ve never done before. Working in different locations is never easy either. But through all this, our positive attitude is strong, and everyone is doing all they can to continue providing you the high level of service you expect.
